About the ASL Program

 

ASL IV

This course expands on the development of American Sign Language (ASL) vocabulary and grammar, including the use of two to three character role shifts. Students describe settings, and explain or discuss everyday objects and their use, step-by-step processes, cause and effect, and culturally significant topics relating to the Deaf Community.

Class Number: PST 304-03

Tuition: $555 (3 credits)

Prerequisites:
ASL III with a grade of "B" or better, or equivalent and permission of program coordinator. ASL III with a grade of "B" or better, or equivalent and permission of program coordinator.

Course Materials: Lentz, E.M., Mikos, K., and Smith, C. 1993. Signing Naturally Level 3 Student DVD & Workbook (Units 16, 17, 23 will be covered).
