Course Description
This weekend training session for deaf and hard of hearing individuals and parents of deaf and hard of hearing children, focuses on improving the quality of life for deaf and hard of hearing consumers and their families. The training focuses on advocacy, as a process, and the tenets of effective advocacy efforts at the local, state, and national levels.

Dates and Times: January 29 - 30, 2010 Friday & Saturday 9 - 5 pm
Location: St Petersburg College- Clearwater Campus, 2465 Drew Street Clearwater, FL
Class Number: PST 615-EXT1 Consumer, Family and Community Advocacy Leadership (1 credit)
Tuition: $283.00 + $30.00 processing fee
Prerequisites: none
Instructor: Kevin Nolan, Jr.
Note: This training is intended for participants who use American Sign Language.
REFUND POLICY
Requests for refunds must be submitted to the University in writing and will be issued as follows:
Before the registration deadline: full refund of tuition minus a $50.00 administrative fee.
After the registration deadline: partial refund of tuition, minus a $50 administrative fee, as follows:
withdrawals after 1/4/10 - 50% tuition refundable
withdrawals by 1/11/10 - 25% tuition refundable
withdrawals after 1/11/10 - no refund of tuition
No refunds will be processed without written request except for those courses that have been canceled by the University.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: January 4, 2010 - applications will continue to be accepted after this date as long as space is available. The refund policy deadlines remain in effect. You will receive a confirmation letter after 1/4/10. Please note that the course is contingent upon sufficient enrollment. We recommend that you do not make travel arrangements before your registration has been confirmed.
