Legislation and Policy Affecting the Education of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children

Course Description

This course provides practitioners with an analysis of how Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and No Child Left Behind Act affect the education of deaf and hard of hearing children and ways they can be used to improve outcomes for these children. It incorporates a variety of activities to increase participants' knowledge of how to use these laws to solve problems in their professional settings.

REFUND POLICY

Requests for refunds must be submitted to the University in writing and will be issued as follows:

Before the registration deadline: full refund of tuition minus a $50.00 administrative fee.

After the registration deadline: partial refund of tuition, minus a $50 administrative fee, as follows:

withdrawals after 10/16/09 - 50% tuition refundable
withdrawals by 10/23/09 - 25% tuition refundable
withdrawals after 10/23/09 - no refund of tuition

It is IMPERATIVE that your written request for refund is in the office of Gallaudet University by the deadline.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: October 30, 2009 - applications will continue to be accepted after this date as long as space is available. Please note that the refund policy deadlines remain in effect. The course is contingent on sufficient enrollment. You will receive a confirmation letter after 10/30/09. We recommend that you do not make travel arrangements before the course is confirmed.
