With a varied array of academic and enrichment programs and courses, including challenging academic programs and sports camps for youth, an elder hostel program, ASL classes, graduate and undergraduate courses, leadership and professional studies programs, special events and "what not," the College of Professional Studies and Outreach at Gallaudet University (CPSO@GU) has something for everyone.
Located in the heart of our Nation's capitol city, just blocks from the U.S. Capitol, and some of the world's finest museums, Gallaudet is a special place with over a century of experience providing education and enrichment programs to deaf people and individuals interested in working in deaf-owned or deaf-centric corporations, agencies and organizations.
As you stroll our campus, you are bound to recognize and immerse yourself in the tremendous range of cultural diversity and diversity of thought that permeates our environment. In CPSO@GU, we design and offer programs that will have an impact and can be life-changing. Professional Studies (PST) Courses - American Sign Language (ASL), Interpreting, Computer Literacy, Social Work, and other PST courses here.
Leadership Programs - deaf women's leadership, language planning, and other leadership programs.
Middle and High School Youth Programs - fun and educational programs for deaf and hard of hearing youth. Application deadline has been extended to May 30.
Sports Camps - a variety of sports camps for the aspiring deaf and hard of hearing athlete! Accepting applications until two weeks before the program starts.
Summer Institute at Clerc Center - over 13 different summer workshops to choose from for educators and professionals.
